Nordmarkens School is located in the southern part of Årjäng and is the largest school in the municipality. It is a K-9 school with approximately 700 students and over 100 staff.

We have a relatively new building (2020) for grades 1-6, including an adapted primary school for grades 1-9. The high school building was completed in 2015, and grades 3-6 also receive instruction in several practical subjects. There is also a preschool class, after-school care, and a culture school on the premises.

We have a well-functioning support system aimed at quickly identifying students' needs and providing early support. The school has special teachers, special educators, a counselor, a school nurse, a study and career counselor, and through student health services, access to a school psychologist and school doctor.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teaching assistant in the Adapted Primary School, you will support one or more students in their work throughout the school day and sometimes during leisure time.

It is important that you work closely and are active, especially regarding free play, outdoor activities, breaks, transitions, and practical-aesthetic subjects.

The job requires good communication skills with both adults and children.

Each student has their own needs and learning style, so it is important that you are open to learning new things.

The position is 80% and the working hours are spread over 5 days.

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant experience working with students in an adapted primary school is required. Experience working in a team and contributing creativity and solution-focused approaches is essential. You should be calm, self-driven, and have a broad work experience. We value qualities such as responsibility, teamwork, and initiative.
